Dr. Phil March, Senior Consultant – Functional Safety
Phil has over 19 years’ experience in the automotive engineering sector covering domains including steering, braking, powertrain and ADAS. This work has involved robust engineering practices such as 8D and six sigma, coupled with modelling, objective measurements and subjective assessments.
A focus of the past 11 years has been the realm of electrification, both in capacity of safety responsibility and also systems engineering. He has worked with vehicle manufacturers and system suppliers to adapt to emerging technologies in cells, charging technologies, power electronics and ASIC developments, refining and verifying designs to series production maturity.
Phil has had practical experience working with ISO 26262 since its release in 2011, majoring on the system and concept phases, and also with experience in software development, hardware level and V&V.
