Dr. David Bridge, Chief Engineer – Thermal Systems
Dr Bridge has over 30 years experience working in the automotive industry, covering a board range of thermally related issues.
Prior to joining MIRA he worked for a large Tier 1 supplier as a technical specialist for thermal protection products and as such acquired expertise in all aspects of vehicle heat transfer, vehicle thermal modelling and testing.
This knowledge has deepened whilst at MIRA covering powertrain thermal management (both conventional and electric), chamber and in-field testing along with battery thermal management. He was heavily involved in managing the R134 to R1234 transition for a UK OEM and currently sits on an SAE steering committee looking at the next generation of heat pump suitable refrigerants. Earlier this year he co-won a company award for an electric vehicle testing patent.
